You Believe. You Want to Share It. Something Keeps Stopping You.
Maybe it’s the moment when the right words won’t come. Maybe it’s the question you couldn’t answer the last time someone asked. Maybe it’s the fear of being the Christian who makes it weird.
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
Why We Exist
Sheep Food Ministries Makes It Easier to Start the Conversation.
We exist because the gap between believing something and saying something is wider than most ministries acknowledge. Most Christians want to share their faith. Few feel equipped to. Even fewer know how to start without making it strange.
We make three things that close that gap. Conversation-starter merchandise people can wear or use to open the door. Free, vetted articles that answer the questions seekers actually bring. A curated library of trusted teachers and resources so believers don’t have to be scholars to be effective.
— Our Beliefs
What We Believe.
Sheep Food Ministries is non-denominational evangelical. Our work is rooted in historic Christian orthodoxy. The specifics that matter most for what we publish and recommend:
01
Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone
Not works, not denomination, not personal goodness. (John 14:6)
02
Scripture is the inspired, authoritative Word of God
Our standard for doctrine and practice.
03
The historic Christian creeds reflect what Christians have always believed
The Trinity, the deity of Christ, the resurrection, the church.
04
We’re silent on issues that divide faithful Christians
Including cessationism vs. continuationism, mode of baptism, and end-times timing. We don’t take public positions on what historic Christians have disagreed on charitably.
05
Sharing the gospel and being ready to defend it are commanded, not optional
Matthew 28:19–20 commissions believers to make disciples. 1 Peter 3:15 commands them to be prepared to give an answer for what they believe. Sheep Food exists because most Christians want to do both and don’t feel equipped to do either.
— Our Work
How We Work.
Before we make a recommendation, we score every resource against five criteria. Theological accuracy. Accessibility. Credibility. Relevance. Tone. Anything below 7 out of 10 doesn’t make it.
We don’t recommend teachers because they’re popular.
We don’t recommend books because they sell.
We don’t link to anything we wouldn’t hand to a friend with the question it addresses.
— Accountability
What We’re Accountable To.
Sheep Food Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 42-1866644) governed by a five-person board. No single person controls our funds or our editorial decisions.
